Tips For The True Final Boss [SPOILERS!]
Okay seriously I can't even get past the introduction of Phase 2. How the ♥♥♥♥ do I kill this thing reliably in Phase 1? Quickslash is ineffectual as the boss FILLS THE SCREEN with projectiles and wave attacks while making half the arena unusable and summons homing attacks directly on top of me. Can I walk on the creepy black goo? Health is at an EXTREME premium in this fight. I've tried a bunch of different charms, but as far as I can tell Form of Unn and Crystal Focus are essential. Quickslash helps with the boss immediately beforehand, but I'm not sure what to do. I have to devote so much effort to dodging that I have very little ability to attack the boss. So far the fastest I managed it was by spamming magic, but that's not very sustainable even with the Shaman's charm.

Same here. Got insanely rekt. Didn't even knew he had phases.

Do it exactly like this. https://youtu.be/nG1QOAyMj48?t=37m7s

Well, there's always room between the spikes/spears he summons. You're probably focusing too much on damaging him. Instead, try to pay attention to the hazards and dodges - he only has few patterns, and they are more generous to the player than the White Palace hazards.

Either way, I beat him on my first attempt using Quick Slash, Long Nail, the Unn charm, Quick Focus and the charm that lets you get more souls from enemies. Unn + Quick allows you to dodge projectiles while regenerating health, and Long Nail makes it possible to hit him reliably from a safe distance.

Evasion is a priority in this fight. Remember, there's no time limit, so every single slash you land is a step towards victory. Just slash one-two times, then dash away and wait for another opening.

to be honest, i found the white palace hazards easier than the radiances attacks.

I agree with MD Sues, though I admit it took me like, a solid hour to get through the White Palace. I never got really angry though, unlike that stupid Greenpath Tunnel of Pain.

As it is, I'll just have to try less murder, more dodging those stupid balls and the stupid spears and the stupid swords and the stupid beams. Same strategy I used for Soul Tyrant I guess, just spend half an hour plinking away at em, then be incredibly surprised when the boss shifts.

Trying to heal during the fight just seems like pain, so go blue. Joni's Blessing + both Lifeblood charms, plus a 1-slot charm of your choice. I used no recoil; Grubsong would also be good. You still have to careful and dodge as much as possible, but you get far more leeway.

The sideways swords reckt me every time. White Palace is a cakewalk with Hiveblood, but there's no EZ MODE secret for Radiance.

I haven't beaten him yet, but it is very doable to heal with the Shape of Unn+Quick Focus combo (At least during Phase 1).

Usually you have enough time to phase through them with the Shadow Cloak regardless of where the big gap is. Positioning is key tho, you have to be on the opposite end of the screen from where they are spawning to have enough time between waves for the invuln to regenerate.

This boss battle is one of the easiest in the game. I find it more simple than the Watcher Knights. Never get too greedy when trying to damage Radiance. He will give you more than enough chances to stand right under him and smack away. One of the best charms for this is Joni's Blessing. This is so valuable along with Lifeblood core. If you play smart you will rarely take damage. Seeing how Radiance deals 2 mask damages Joni's is very ideal. The other very important charm is.....
Shaman's stone. Since you won't need to heal with Joni's when ur right under that sucker, spam abyss Shriek. This'l deal so much damage he'll be dead before you know it. Use nail to gain soul and shriek to beat him up. Ez

True enough. Hornet is always Gud.

Yeah, Abyss Shriek is your best, fastest way to get him. I had a lot more luck using that than relying on the Nail. You need to stay calm and watch the whole screen for safe spots though.
