What is this building in The Abyss?

If you crystal-dash to the right of the lighthouse in the abyss, there's this little cage, that has a little spiky-shed thing inside of it. Anyone know what this is? Or is it just background scenery that never had any in-game functionality put into it? https://imgur.com/a/6ZR7Avx

It's where you get the journal entry for the Void Tendrils.

Ah, I see - wiki has the secret location that leads to it. I can't believe I missed it on my first run through of the area - it's actually glowing, so not very hard to see, if you're paying attention. :)

I believe it's the desk in the office room of Pale King while he experimented with void. You can find the journal entry for Void Tendril in the vicinity of that room.

it's where the Void's Birth happend.

that thing you saw was the Voids core (voids Birth)
The void became entity/alive in that thing. that's how it unleashed! while though someone had to be there while it was born.

The Pale King was probably there when it happend. and he thought it was a safe to expirment with. that's how every sibbling you see in the game has that familiar form.
