Hornet in Deepnest

Just wanted to ask for clarification on the exact criteria for Hornet to appear after you kill Herrah the Beast in Deepnest's Beast Den.

I know at least King's brand is required and Void Heart is not as I had the encounter myself with just the full King's Soul.

Is the Shade Cloak and talking to Hornet in the Abyss required? and is all or part of King's Soul also required too?

I have seen it done with the shade cloak and speaking with hornet in the abyss, without the king's soul. Uncertain if the brand alone is enough.

I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the King’s Brand is enough.

all you need is kings brand and she will appear after killing Herrah

I'm (semi) helping my friend play through the game and he adores Hornet, so I want to make sure he gets the extra scene with her. I might make him get the Shade Cloak just incase, but at least it means he doesn't have to do White Palace if he doesn't want to.
