Collector = Kingsmould?

Is it just me, or does the Collector seem like a Kingsmould without the armor? They're both made from void, with four arms. Additionally, the collector would almost certainly fit into the mould in the secret room in the White Palace, the one surrounded by all the bits of Kingsmould armor.

Furthermore, when you dream nail a Kingsmould it says "... Defend..." and "...Kill...", while the Collector is obsessed with protecting its eponymous collection. Perhaps the Collector is a prototype Kingsmould, or one that's gone rogue?

There's no way that wasn't intentional. I didn't even notice the Kingsmould had four arms until somebody compared them to the Collector.

After the part where you have to climb vertically through some spears there’s a secret entrance all the way down and to the right.
