You could except 1. It takes a while to get back there, might as well try to beat the boss again. 2. I didn't even know how eggs worked at that point (saw info about it online) and I bet I wasn't alone.
Woah there bud.
Same. I didn't know it was there until the gate had closed.
I didn't like the first round, let alone round 2. I'm really not sure how much Joni's blessing helped plus you had to hit him so many times! So glad I finally got past it.
Exactly what I did. I used Joni, and the two other live related charms and beat him the firtst time just by smashing and jumping.
Which charms are considered to be damage charms?
Damage Up: Fragile Strength
Faster Attacks: Quick Slash
Deals additional damage: Defender's Crest, Thorn Badge, Glowing Womb
Personally I'd recommend Joni's Blessing, Fragile Strength, and Quick Slash, and then just run into the Guardians body since that only deals 1 dmg. If you've upgraded your nail quite a bit, or you've got pure nail, the Crystal Guardian's 2nd form should die really fast.
HAHAHA true story
Shade Cloak and Grubberfly Elegy
This right here is what helped me. Thank you so much!!!
Basically I did what another poster said and mostly hugged the right wall after the gate closed. Most of the vertical lasers miss you and his hand lasers are not too hard to dodge if you stay put and just pay attention to where he is pointing. He hops back and forth towards and away from you, usually I'd Focus to release the spore cloud and he'd hop towards me, and get hit with the dream shield, weavers and spore damage, and I'd wack him a couple times as well. He usually takes some damage and immediately hops back.
Just keep that up, occasionally you can walk over and take a shot at him or use a soul blast to hit him from afar. I tried a bunch of other charm combos but I don't have most of the good charms yet so this is all that worked for me. Yeah he is tough as heck and I died a crapload of times but I beat him with this combo on my second try.
