room in the bottom left corner of the abyss
so there is an empty room in the bottom left corner of the abyss, it has what appears to be a slab in the middle of it, but no interactions whatsoever. any use at all?

Also: there is a fork when you are descending the blue lifeblood room in the abyss, the right path leads to the charm, but i wasnt able to take the left path, is it just a bunch of spikes to hurt you, or is there another item down there?

Don't the faces lining the walls look familar?

There are no other items in the Lifeblood room.

As for that extra room, as Vulkax said, the faces should be similar to something you already have...

In the Lifeblood room, the other path just led to getting an arcane egg, if I remember correctly. The path broke back into the charm-path, so it wasn't all that important.
word, i didnt get to check it out, i picked up the lifeblood charm and the whole area was barred off. think you could tell me what those faces are? (spoiler-wise)
also: does not getting that arcane egg impair me from getting 100% completion?

You're probably going to scream at the ceiling when you hear the answer. I did as well...

That's a terrible hint I know...It's 3am. Sue me. Answer below.

It's for the upgraded soul scream spell. Stand on the box, and tap up and the focus button to cast the spell as you normally would. You'll trigger a cutscene that'll give you the upgraded version. Much bigger range, and I think it hits a lot harder too.

I think it's just a dead end. I only know about the charm there, and there's nothing on the 100% map that suggests there's anything else there. Not 100% on this, but I think it's just a dead end. I did the exact same thing as you did, I just broke off that fork to grab the charm and didn't realise I'd get kicked out of there.

As we said, the only things in the Lifeblood Core room are the charm and an Arcane Egg. You do not need any trinkets for 100% completion.

Has some said, you'll have to use one of the 3 spells to get something.

Also you can use the Dreamnail on the "step" (in the middle of this room) to get a clue about what to do/use ;)

I didnt't even think that way in this game since there's not been any other puzzles like this earlier in the game.
I just think it's stupid to put in one puzzle like this when everything else in the whole game has been regular pickups.
I love puzzle games and had a really good time solving pretty much everything in Fez myself, so its not that it was hard, I never even considered it.

Have I missed other things like this in the game or is this really the only one?
I remember finding an empty green room on my way down to that huge geo ball in kingdoms edge

It took me all of two seconds to see the stones and recognize the spell, use the spell, and get the upgrade.

I wouldn't categorize this as a "puzzle", strictly speaking.

It's a bit more obtuse if you happen to visit the Abyss before getting Howling Wraiths, and then completely forget about this place.

Also, Howling Wraiths is a spell people might not use a lot, since unlike Desolate Dive (which opens sections of the map) and Vengeful Spirit (which has a good range and can be used to bait your Shade), it just doesn't really seem that useful for anything.

if i play a game where i know things are hidden in ways like this i'd find it too, but since this is only thing in the whole game that you don't just pickup regularly and its at the end of the game, i didn't even look at the background or consider it being a part of the solution to get the item.
those heads in the background still don't remind me of anything because i didn't really look at the environment when i got that spel and i've never used it.

it's most definitely a puzzle, even by the definition. but it really doesn't matter what we call it, that wasn't the point at all

I looked at the room and left confused. A few hours later it just clicked and had to traverse than darn abyss again.

I can't remember, is this required to get the true void and final ending?
Or only the ability itself?

The ability/upgrade is just 1% completion each I think, not needed for anything else.
