I Give Up, Where's the Jump

I've been lacking the ability to pass through these black fog gates for so long now that my entire map is nearly uncovered save for the foggy, jellyfish-laden zone to the West. I'm distinctly aware based on how many times I come across areas that need some sort of upwards dash or double-jump that I'm going to need something of the sort to make my way forwards, but I don't want to dive into a walkthrough for fear of spoiling other elements or powers in the game.

I've been wandering absolutely everywhere for almost two days now just struggling to attempt to find whatever stupid item I'm missing and I'm a bit at my wit's end with this. Is there anyone willing to give me a subtle shove in the right direction I ought to be looking? I'm absolutely exhausted with attempting to find this on my own.

I was similarly confused about the top of Crystal Peaks needing the double jump to access. I looked it up and it's located in the map beneath the Royal Waterways, which I haven't explored yet

Yeah, I've been down to the Ancient Basin but I couldn't do much exploring because, yet again, I was presented with an area where I clearly need to have some sort of double-jump to continue.

To go to the other part of jelly fields you dont need to be able to go through those, you just need something im not gonna spoil that you find on royal waterways, and use it on a zone on fungal wastes to enter the other half of the territory

Royal Waterways? That's weird, I have the entire map explored there and could have sworn that I didn't miss anything. I guess I'll go double-check.

have you found a crystal heart? (would be in your items)

Yeah, I have that and I used it to cross that huge gap full of spikes in the Royal Waterways, but I guess I must have missed something if that's where I need to be.

Oh. I stand corrected, there was apparently an entire area to the West in the Ancient Basin that I had completely forgotten to explore. Nevermind, and thanks!

Also, you have tp go to ismas grove at the royal waterways to get that thing that would allow you to go go to the jelly fields from the other side

u can find the shadow dash upgrade on abyss, requires crystal heart (?) then u will be able to pass those black fog gates.

Actually, I don't think you need the Crystal Heart to get the Shade Cloak from the Abyss? What you defnitely need to do is go to Kingdom's Edge and fight Hornet for the second time and get the King's Brand. After that the door in Ancient Basin to the Abyss will open. The Crystal Heart will allow you to super dash across a large pool in the Abyss instead of swimming across it, but I don't think it's strictly necessary.

oh, when i came across the abyss i already had crystal heart so i never touched the water there, my bad :x

Crystal heart is not strictly necessary, you can just swim.
