Scarab not connecting to Hollow Knight

So I got Scarab, it worked completely fine until I downloaded a custom skin file which led to me needing to reinstall Hollow Knight (and deleting the custom skin file) due to my game crashing when trying to turn it on. Now whenever I try to change my Scarab installation path to my Hollow Knight file (the mods don't appear on my game despite there being a Mods file) it says "Catastrophic Failure". I've tried reinstalling Hollow Knight and Scarab but neither methods work. Please help.

Do you know which version of Scarab you were using before you uninstalled it?
Which version are you attempting to use now?

Have you tried restarting Steam/your computer?

I was/am using the most recent scarab version https://github.com/fifty-six/Scarab/releases/tag/v2.5.0.0 and I'll give restarting a try.

Try using Lumafly instead. It's basically a newer version of scarab, and it might work better.
