Is there a point at which you start getting lore?
I made it to Greenpath the other day and have been playing for nearly five hours but I still haven't gotten any bits of major lore. I've been reading everything and taking my time in each area, have I been missing stuff or is it a later game thing?

Too soon for any major lore drops.
Once you get to the City, and Resting Grounds… then the lore drops start coming.

There is minor lore at several points at and before that, even as far back as the intro and tutorial area. But yeah, if you mean more major main-story relevant lore, the answer is fairly accurate.
