personaly i use:

unbreakable strength--for more damage
quickslash--it is just goated, also for more damage and quick reaction moves.
shaman stone--also just goated.
dream wielder--this charm is underrated. it gives more soul with each hit, plus the dream nail windup is drastically reduced. also every dream nail hit, gives you to soul usages.
then you can pick what you want for the last notch. personally i use defender crest.

cheers

Greed, compass, gatherin swarm, king's soul (for NKG), and dashmaster
You have to have Child to do the base game NKG, which is what I'm assuming you're doing, so that's two notches as well. take out dashmaster in that case. For Radiance, since you have to have Void Heart, then I recommend hiveblood + steady body instead of kingsoul, which is great if you're good at long periods of not getting hit, which is what should be the focus first because of her platforming drama before you start getting offensive, while also having a hard time not falling off platforms during Radiance, hence the steady body. Swarm helps with extra passive soul for the entire thing, and if you want sprintmaster instead of dashmaster, that helps the swarm gather soul faster. Greed is for all the offensive hits that you'll learn to give the boss, and compass is in case you get lost in the circus tent or in the dream realm. either way, it's a life saver.
best of luck o7

do not listen to this guy, he is a troll. the charms he suggests are either completely dumb, or dont do what he says in the first place

and if that doesn't work, try my other personal favorite: Strength, Mark of Pride, Shaman, and Soul Twister with a dash of git gud. I believe in you! Half of this set up is a good nail build, and the other half is a good spell build. Together, they create a decent build that would leave PV trembling. For extra caution, only use spells when you're full health, and just... take your time. Enjoy the journey before the destination. Take a nap. Drink water. Go for a walk. Then come back. You got this.

the second one was okay--ish. but the first one, almost all the charms do something different then what you said. ngl i was laughing well reading because it was ridiculous. i just dont want this guy to waste a day of his life, because you gave him false info

what's wrong with the second one, it's seriously my favorite go-to build :(
I'm glad to have made someone's day. tbh I actually needed the laugh as well. If OP has made it so far as Radiance and Grimm, I'd sure hope they'd actually know what the charms I suggested do, assuming that they completed the game up to 11 charm notches and fully upgraded nail

the second one i didnt like just because of my personal preference. personally i dont like using mark of pride cause it feels like it costs to much for what it does. just personal preference is all

ah well, can't beat personal preference lol I think I kept on pride because it helped me immensely with PV and ever since, I just keep it on out of habit more than anything
I get the best results with full on nail damage using Unbreakable Strength, Mark of Pride, and Quick Slash. With Grimm (and every other boss, really) I use the last 2 slots for Sharp Shadow because the extra dash distance helps pass through him much easier when he charges you (plus do a little damage), but for The Radiance I swap that out for the Soul Catcher for more healing.
