Report a translation problem
I always recommend to look through Youtube, because there are quite some helpful Videos out there.
As example I looked up how to download and manage skin mods through a Youtuber called Fireborn, who explained it step by step.
PS: I used Scarab to download and manage it. I am not sure if there are others out there
It downloads and installs mods for you.
Skins are the only thing you should need to download outside of it.
-Which version of Hollow Knight are you playing? 1.5.78.11833 (the default) or the 1.4.3.2 beta (which doesn't work with Scarab)?

I don't know what games you are playing, but only about 15% of the games I own have mod support built in.... More game don't have Mod support than do have it.
