FYI, in one of the areas you'll encounter later, Fog Canyon, you cannot access Cornifer the first time you enter the area. You have to re-enter the area from a different area much later to get to him, the first time you get to Fog Canyon just head straight down and you'll get through quickly.
I was so glad to hear that Humming of his is all the areas.... YAY! New Map!
I am super thankful that you clarified that while simultaneously somewhat incredulous that they would design it in such a way as to be... difficult like that. Lol.
Ok, well, it is what it is. Thanks for the help!
It does tell you that you have no map for the area when you try to open it (by pressing the map button from outside the inventory), though i agree that it isn't the clearest message.
At the very least, Greenpath is fairly linear until you reach Cornifer, so there isn't much potential to get lost until that part is cleared up.
But you should find Cornifer. The paper scattered on the ground are the first signs he is near. And as you get closer you'll hear him humming.
If by any chance you miss him and he moves to another area, you'll find a note (a white rectangle with a drawing of his glasses) on the ground, telling you that you can purchase the map at the store.
