Spoiler: charm that changes NPC dialogue
This game has awesome attention to detail and I wanted to share a cool little example I found as a new player (this might already be common knowledge, idk).

Equipping the Defender's Crest charm from defeating Dung Defender has effects on NPC dialogues!

Almost all will comment on a "bad smell" when you talk to them, but the two most interesting examples are the antique dealer - he'll refuse to deal with you - and Leg Eater. Leg Eater loves the smell - he loves it so much he gives you a discount on his Fragile Charms.

I thought this was cute and funny.

I'd recommend maybe changing the title of the topic to avoid mentioning the thing you later put in spoiler tags, i'm sure someone cares and would be grateful not being spoiled about that. (I mean, they wouldn't because they wouldn't know about it, but you see what i mean.)

I would argue there's a third, one who gives several lines of dialogue and a bit of lore for wearing it.

I was thinking about doing that, but I kinda felt like it would make him upset, so I didn't. (I could also have no idea who you are talking about, but I felt it matched up)

It doesn't match up, but if the character you're talking about is the one who i think it is, it won't make him upset.

I can think of another couple of interesting interactions for the charm you mention in your post. One is the one perseus mentioned, I believe-- another very interesting NPC encounter with added lore tidbits. The general map region where the NPC in question is located would be Queen's Gardens.

Beyond this, in case you didn't know, wearing that same charm while visiting the Pleasure House has an interesting effect. If you haven't seen it before, maybe try it out while wandering around that place. If you can't be bothered (or if you somehow don't notice the difference), then here's the effect: it attracts flies. Obviously, this is best seen if you make sure to stop by the kitchen

Removed the spoiler from the title! I[m still fairly early game so I haven't reached those areas yet - but I'll be sure to look out for those effects/NPCs when I do - thanks for the tips! :)
