If I face a boss in steel soul mode in the dream world do I lose the save if I die?

If I face the tyrant of souls in steel soul mode, and die, I lose my save or I stay alive because it is the world of dreams

Nope, dying in the dream world doesn't count as a death, unless you're in white palace or godhome.

And one thing i'd recommend is backing up your save file constantly, or if you're at 1 mask left save and quit don't take the risk.

No you do not, its like fragile charms in the dream world. They don't break on death in the dream world

I can’t say for sure since I haven’t tried it myself, but dying in Godhome shouldn’t count as a death for Steel Soul. White Palace definitely does, and so does Radiance, but as far as I know that’s it for dream realms.

Ok, thanks, I want to do 100% in steel soul mode to get all the achievements, and I will face the bosses of the dream to get 2400 essences.

I can confirm Godhome is like most other dreams. Death doesn't count there.

There's also one more area where it looks like a dream world, but death is a real death. Behind the blue Lifeblood door in the Abyss.

Interesting, I hadn’t even considered that that area looks dreamlike. It would make sense though, considering you can’t get back in after finishing it.
