ps5 controller won't work with the game. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I used to play with a ps3 controller but I got a new computer, and Mac took off ps3 controller support so i switched to ps5. But now I can't play the game. Any help?

Try with Steam Input disabled:
If using Bluetooth: View > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings > untick PlayStation Configuration Support > turn off/on controller.
If using wire can do same as above minus last step or this: Right-click game in Steam Library > Properties > Controller > set override to 'Disable Steam Input'

I play with a PS5 controller on Mac (macOs Monterey). It's more reliable wired, so plug it in and disable Steam input as above. Restart Steam then you may have to enable controller support in the Hollow Knight game settings. It does work, it just takes a bit of tinkering. You can even get native PS button prompts.
