Pantheon 5
3% of all players have beaten this? That is insane to me, this is probably the hardest challege I've ever tried doing in any videogame ever, in fact I gave up trying once already.

I have a feeling like giving up easily is why only so little succeed 🙂 I am guilty of easily giving up too!

If you can beat P4, you CAN beat P5. Sure, you need more practice, more determination and Absolute Radiance can be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but the skill level required to beat the pantheon is reachable.

First time I gave up cause every try took like an hour and also cause the bosses I was REALLY struggling with were Markoth and Oomuu and Zote, which are fights I absolutely detest.

For that reason, you should really only make two attempts. One to unlock the final boss, and the second to win. Any time spent on it besides that should be spent in the Hall of Gods, practicing individual bosses. It's pointless wasting time killing Gruzmothers and Giant Moss Chargers only to die to Markoth or NKG at the end. Practice those hard bosses individually instead until you're 100% sure you can beat them without losing masks, so the time spent fighting the easier bosses isn't wasted.

I would argue that P5 isn't that hard. You only have 3 reasons for not clearing it; lack of patience, lack of actual talent, or a combination of both. You can practice each individual boss in the Hall of Gods on Radiant until you have the patterns mastered, then it's only a matter of beating much easier versions of the same bosses in the Pantheon. The Pantheon is actually very lenient for what it is, but if you don't have the patience to practice or the talent to actually beat every boss consistently no matter how much you practice, you are probably never gonna beat it.

You are definietly right, I think I just wanted to get through P5 by brute forcing those bosses I really despise and thus didn't want to learn, it was definitely a bad approach.

To clarify, I was surprised by how high that number was, not by how low. In some other games even getting the 100% completion achievement is rare. Just goes to show how good HK is. Also I guess since it's an indie game the people who buy it actually play through it unlike with many more advertised games.

Beat a P5 just 5 minutes ago. I had ~53 hours on my save. When I beat P5 I had 68 hours. That was so fricking hard. I was thinking about giving up, but then I beat AR in practice. I knew I had a chance so I keep on practicing and man, you know, I dont even know if that was worth it. On my first attempts to beat AR on practice I had the same through like when I was playing Cuphead for the first time. My ass was burning but then... You accept that you weak and need to die to teach all the moves and best strategies to avoid them and deal more damage. I fas so f***ing happy when I beat it, my heart was racing and my sister through that I was crazy. Anyway, if you feel that it's not worth your time, just dont kill yourself, your time and nerve sells. If you want to beat it then: fully upgraded gear, all 9 masks, 3 soul vessels, 11 charm slots.
I beat it with: Quick Slash, Quick Focus, Unbreakable (Fragile) Strength, Soul Catcher.
This strategy was good for me because it was easies to beat Pure Vessel and slash AR in its 4-th phase.

Perhaps not surprisingly, I use the exact same charm setup, except that I used the Nailmaster charm (forgot its name, it makes your special attacks come out much quicker) instead of soul catcher, I think that is absolutely necessary as it makes some of the hardest fights, like PV or NK far easier.

Good. More games need a challenge that you legitimately need to work for. It makes it much more satisfying when you do finally beat it.

i just beated the 5th pantheon, and yes, it took me WEEKS of training in the hall of gods

Don't get me wrong, P5 is sort of hard, but its more tedious than anything. Think about it. How many bosses in the Pantheon have a snowball's chance in hell of actually killing you? There are a few, sure, and they are mostly toward the end which doubles the frustration and tedium. Still, this doesn't necessarily mean the skill requirement is that high, since, as stated earlier, you'll only need to practice on a few of the really hard ones. And, reaching Absolute Radiance is 95% of the battle. After that, you'll just need to practice her, and that's nice since she's a really fun boss.

Just do yourself a favor and beat her at LEAST 12-15 times before trying the pantheon again.
Crowley42 17 AGO 2021 a las 11:12 a. m.
I definitely agree with this sentiment, most of the bosses are complete pushovers. It also doesn't help that since it takes like 40 minutes to get to the end (never actually beaten Pure Vessel in P5) the player is inclined to rush every situation, I for one always go for risky stuff that sometimes gets punished instead of playing it safe.
