Path of Pain is unbalanced?
Do you feel like the Path of Pain is very unbalanced or is it just me having a specific skill set?

Some of the segments are literally free and can be done in one try while others are... frustrating. I wouldn't say hard because I don't think the platforming challenge is really that hard overall. A lot of the gaps could be tighter (e. g. where you have to hit a saw, then drop down and dash in between; ironically the part in the Kingdom's Edge where you have to dash in between spikes is so much harder than anything similar in the Path of Pain).

The challenge doesn't utilise any “speedrunning” tricks like destroying a background object to get extra height or dashing thru a spike tunnel without the crystal dash (dash, vengeful spirit, pogo, dash, spirit, etc.) or using spells at all (like spamming abyss shriek to stay at certain height waiting for something like a saw to come for you to hit and reset abilities).

(Or maybe we are just too good at the games and for a normal person this is a really tough challenge?)

I can’t say that it’s truly unbalanced, because I essentially cheesed the whole thing by using Hiveblood to give myself “infinite” health. If anything, I’d argue that doing that removes some of the challenge, because you aren’t forced to learn how to do earlier sections consistently in order to reach the later portions.

What I will say is that putting a surprise combat sequence at the very end with two Kingsmolds was an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a move, and I will not budge on this point. Screw Team Cherry for making me play 4 continuous hours, only to die at the very end and have to restart the entire Path of Pain from the beginning. I never went back to it after dying to those Kingsmolds, because that was just too much to handle.
you always have infinite hp. the totems give infinite soul. the only portion without them is the lever part. Put combat charms and use the totems.

Come on. I had the exact same thing happen. Tried for three hours then botched it badly on the Kingsmolds. S*** happens. I dusted myself and did it again. Not only did I find I could skip the entire lever part (since it stays activated), I really only needed another 20min or so to complete it again. The concept of practice makes perfect is real. You got all the hard work out of the way and then quit right when you had it finally figured it out.

They didn't when I played. But if you equip Grubsong (Soul gained with damage), and Deep Focus (double heal) you will last a LONG time before running out of health. And, as mentioned, you could also use Hiveblood for slow health regen if you have it.

soul triwster is for spells. Also, i have no idea what are you talking about, because they did and im pretty sure its the point. there is ONE part without it, but with 15 masks (9 masks and full soul vessels" you can do it.

I'm not a fan of precision platforming, so i didn't enjoy the challenge, although it wasn't too hard. Whether it is balanced or not, why care? It's not a competitive game.
