❓What mods to install for the first playthrough❓
To minimize the stuffy moments like running around the same rooms, killing the same enemies?

I highly recommend playing it vanilla for the first playthrough.

If you pay attention to the map, none. You'll only need to backtrack once you're much stronger and have many more tools, meaning that it will both have been a while since you explored that area, and you'll be able to dispach enemies with exorbitant ease. Just play it vanilla.

No mods. Vanilla = plain.

If you feel inclined to install mods on a first playthrough to change the experience to your liking, I don’t think this game is for you.

I recommend playing the game unmodded and going into it without pre-established biases lingering in your mind. It’s the best way to open yourself up to trying new things and potentially enjoying something you otherwise wouldn’t.

I've just studied the entire map 1 and 2 locations.
I get to one place - they won't let me in, I need a key.
I get to another - they won't let me in, I need a dash.
I get to the third - they let me in, I loot the coins.

In all three cases, I need to run 10 screens back to move on with the story.

I have no interest in this, why should I run around the same screens.
I play games to consume NEW content.
UNIQUE content, not monotonous.

Vigil did a great job with this, there are teleports and almost the entire map is available to you at once, only 2 dungeons require you to find a key

I killed 4 bosses the first time, without deads, tell me which boss is considered the hardest by fans of the game?

Whatever man, it's laid out in a slightly different style then you're used to, but that doesn't make it bad. What I said still stands, you don't need to backtrack through an area more than once. If you're wandering around through the same rooms multiple times, that's a problem with your navigation, not the game.

The hardest boss would be either The Radiance or Nightmare King Grimm. If you're doing the Godhome DLC and trying to do the hitless boss battle challenges, Markoth challenges a lot of people too.

i'm unaware of any such mods tbh, but it's worth pointing out that the Stagways do let you take shortcuts between areas from the beginning of the game onwards, and i believe there's also a way to acquire the Dreamgate warping ability early.

thats very typical of a Metroidvania. and Hollow Knight is one of the best. if backtracking after finding more tools, to open up other areas of the map isnt for you, the game probably isnt for you.

but my advice, is to not feel rushed. why do you feel so adverse to backtracking 10 screens, to open up a new area after those 10 screens? slow down, chill, and enjoy the experience and story as it unfolds.

thinking about it, traversing the map also doubles as an opportunity to collect geo (money) from the enemies you kill along the way, so if you're using a mod to insta-warp everywhere you may find yourself having to grind enemies a lot more to afford upgrades, which probably won't be very fun. it's your choice, though.

I have 5000 coins now, where should I spend them?
There is no armor in the game, no weapons in the game.

I already kill enemies with 2 and 3 hits, will I kill them with 1 hit?
Who is this game for?

Above I already gave the example of Metroidvania, where in the very first location a homeless person with a branch can kill you with one hit.

In Vigil, backtracking is reduced to a minimum, you literally go forward the entire game, kill the boss, and go further into the passage.

And to move to the NPC, you have a teleporter in your inventory
