Any tips for P5.
I’m shaking in my boots and I’ve yet to try it once. I beat P4 last night and I thought it would be a good idea to try it soon since Pure Vessel is still fresh in my mind. I’m guessing I’m going to struggle the most with Markoth (vomitoth), NKG, and Absolute Radiance. I’ve never fought NKG before so I know there’s no way I’ll beat him on the first try.

Yeah, practicing the individual bosses first is going to be a good idea. NKG in particular has a rapid loop of movements that requires you to be able to react quickly.

you definitely need to practice NKG until you have his movements and timings down. he's very fast and hits hard (double damage), but the thing to know is that all of his attacks can be dodged and punished. i wish we could just upload recordings to Steam, i just beat him on radiant difficulty only to find i can't upload the video without making a YouTube account... :slugcatdead:

Thanks for the replies. I’m going to go fight NKG in Dirtmouth then I’ll return to godhome for P5.

Thank you. I fought Pure Vessel somewhere around 25-35 times before I went back into the Pantheon, and I managed to beat him first try after practicing. I’m pretty good at Grim so I hope that knowledge helps a bit with NKG.

wow, nice! and it should do, he's faster overall so that will take some getting used to, he has a new move and some of his other attacks are modified, but he's not drastically different from TLG, so i'm sure you'll get the hang of him with a bit of practice.

One important thing when fighting bosses (or regular enemies) is that the goal isn't to defeat your foe, it's to outlive them.
Finding spots to heal and learning how to dodge your foes is very important,
because if you can become good enough at dodging and healing against a boss, good enough to heal all the damage you fail to dodge, you become effectively invincible, since the boss can't really kill you anymore.

This is especially important in the pantheons and even more in P5, because they are more of an endurance test than the rest of the game. You don't want to start a difficult boss fight with only a few masks remaining.

MoP, Steady body, quick slash, strength and your choice.

-I strongly recommend Quick Focus for its ability to give more opportunities to heal;
-Fragile/Unbreakable Strength so that fights don't take too long, especially useful for those where you don't have many chances to heal or the boss has a difficult-to-heal-during phase;
-Mark of Pride for its extra range that makes hitting certain evasive/hard-to-reach bosses easier.
