The game's main menu style is not saved.
I completed the eternal torment challenge and enabled the new main menu style. It took a few weeks of active gaming in HK, but when I installed the game on a new laptop, the main menu style was standard and the new style was blocked. Entering the room with the Zot statue, I was very surprised when I saw it was golden. I had to go through the challenge a second time to unlock the style again.

I will need to install HK on another computer in the future, I don’t want to go through the challenge a third time. How can I fix this?

Unlocking some endings also grants new main menu styles. When installing HK on a new computer, will they also be blocked? How can I fix this?

I used Google translator, so please forgive any mistakes.

That's because gamemode and background unlocks, as well as all settings, are saved in the game's configuration file. That file isn't synced to Steam Cloud.
If you want to keep those unlocks on other computers, you'll need to copy/transfer that file to that other computer.

On Windows, the configuration file is named "Config.ini" and is saved in the registry.
On Linux, It is named "prefs" and is located alongside the save files.
I have no idea what it is called on Mac or where it is located.

You can find the location of "Config.ini" and Linux save files detailed near the bottom of the guide :
