Better points shop items?

Does anyone else feel like Hollow Knights point shop items are underwhelming, or is it just me?

Maybe an animated background of the city of tears? With boarders of the different kinds of coins and medals, and avatars (animated or not) of some of the characters and bosses? Your thoughts?

Just wondering, but what exactly is stopping them from introducing new items to the shop now, if i may ask? It doesn't seem like it would be that much of a hassle?

I mean, items are linked to badge rewards, so it's pretty complex

Wait, that doesn't make any sense. I would figure that the shop had independent items you could purchase with steam points. How are badges supposed to be related to the shop then? In my mind, the shop is just another store front that operates independent from the game as a whole and is just there for cosmetics for your profile. I could understand if SOME items maybe linked to badge progress, but I wouldn't think it would be a such a major focus that it stunts growth on the shop.

If anything, it would be cool if their WAS a cool animated profile background/mini-profile pic that you could only get by completing the badge, but I don't see that as being the most popular way to go.

I guess I am more confused now about the store than I was before.

I think they must pay an extra or something to add cards and badges, meaning, to add items, so it could be that, let's just wait for silksong

I do think they are underwhelming, but I'm stoked that Silksong will for sure have Hornet stuff. Hornet is my favorite character, so I'll for sure deck out my profile with that stuff
