Pantheon of Hallownest charm builds
What charms did you guys use to beat PoH? I Can't get past it :zote: . My current charms: Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Mark of Pride and Fury of the Fallen. Any tips / tweaks to my charm build?
Need this for the final achievement.
Thnx.

I use unbreakable heart instead of fury of fallen :hollowknight:

Fury of the Fallen relies on you being close to death to be useful. You want to stay away from being low on health.
My build:
Dash and Sprint Master: Maximise movement speed.
Sharp Shadow: More powerful than a nail strike and makes your shadow dash go faster and further (gotta go fast).
Unbreakable Strength: I find most of the tougher bosses give you few opportunities to hit them several times (hence no Quick Slash). Make the hits you can get in count.
Mark of Pride: Maximise distance you can hit from and potentially sneak extra hits in.

I've used this build without changing charms at any time to beat the Pantheon of Hallownest.

A good old heal build is good if you're not feeling confident or just wanna coast through.
Grubsong, Nailmaster, Fragile/Unbreakable Heart, Shape of Unn, Quick Focus, and the one that increase Soul gain, but the weaker of the two so it'll fit.

There is no universal build, you must change it while resting on benches depending on what bosses are the strongest in the section ahead.

E.g. Markoth is weak against spells so you want shaman stone in his section, Lost Kin is weak against sporeshroom charm so it is good for this particular section etc.

Best for speedruns without Lifeblood:
  • Shaman's Stone(3)
  • Strength(3)
  • Spell Twister(2)
  • Dream Wielder(1)
  • Grubsong(1) [mostly for Oro/Mato and Grimm speedkills or/and Ogrim's and Collector's iframe-based scream skips]
  • 1 optional (like Nailmaster's Glory or Steady Body)

Best for speedruns, relying on Lifeblood/Lifemask Binding strategy:
  • Shaman's Stone(3)
  • Strength(3)
  • Quick Slash(3)
  • Fury of the Fallen(2)

Best for speedruns, relying on Lifeblood no bindings strategy:
  • Shaman's Stone(3)
  • Strength(3)
  • Fury of the Fallen(2)
  • Nailmaster's Glory or Steady Body(1) [Steady Body is great vs AR fight]
  • Dream Wielder(1)
  • Quick Slash(3)

P.S.: You can also use storage exploit for "Furied" state and go All Bindings with 25 Base Nail Damage/ 63 Nail Arts Damage, but any hit (Lifeblood protected included) will wear FotF effect off, so you shouldn't get hit at least till defeating the Collector.

I believe OP just wants to beat PoH, he in not into speedrun stuff like beating all bosses taking no damage at all with fury of the fallen on for extra speed. People with such goals ahead hardly need any advices.

I'll try some of these out, thanks for the help :D

Just a general tip: if you die to a boss, practice that one in the Hall of Gods before trying again. Runs in the Pantheon of Hallownest can take a long time, and if you keep dying to, say, Grey Prince Zote, you don't want to be spending 40 minutes to get there every time. Having more than one boss that makes you go 'oh dear, it's this fight again', your odds of making it all the way through won't be great.

Funny you say that, I just died to him :zote: (entered his boss fight with 3 masks due to that one dreamer boss with shield). But yeah, I do that regularly.

Markoth/Zote team is one of the worst thing in the Pantheon. I think only the final boss is tougher.

It's a bit cheap, but one effective build is to combine quick focus and shape of Unn. Not only do you get the regular benefits of both, but together they make the shape of Unn form move really fast, even faster then the default move speed. This makes it fairly easy to dodge a lot of attacks and heal at the same time. You can use whatever you want from there, but jsut those two charms made things a lot easier for me.

my only problem is the stupid radiance.
i beat every boss on radiant (pure vessel too) but i'm to stupid for the radiance :(

All the bosses rely on you panicking, but few more than Sly and Absolute Radiance. Trying to chase AR is often a bad idea. Like Soul Tyrant, they teleport so much you're better off waiting until they happen to get close to you, dodging their attacks in the meantime.
This is particularly so for AR's final phase. Focus on getting the orbs to go off-screen or into the platforms, then try to hit her if she's close.
Keep trying her in the Hall of Gods until you can beat her consistently. You need to practise bosses down there like you're preparing for a music recital.
Boksha Nov 21, 2018 @ 10:38am
For the middle phase, stay near the center of the arena. That way, you can pass through the walls of light and walls of swords that come at you before the AR does her next attack (i.e. you don't have to deal with overlapping attacks anymore!) and the homing orb attacks are the easiest to dodge there since they will almost always hit either the platform you're on, or the ones to your sides.

Also worth noticing that Quick Slash is incredibly effective here, since it lets you het her twice per jump instead of once, meaning the first three phases of the fight will be over twice as quickly.
Doctor Fetus Nov 22, 2018 @ 5:54am
I found great success against AR with heal based build which is deep focus and quick focus. The idea is that actually AR gives you A LOT of heal opportunities what means that even if you get hit by some "unfair" or rather hard to dodge attacks/attack comboes you can easily heal everything back. Other charms are unbreakable strength (no brainer) and any one notch charm you like.
