I don't think you'd enjoy the game much anyway.
Yea, I would rather watch paint dry.

With your lack of patience, I highly doubt that.

Do not try to chase Hornet when fighting her. Her lunges will bring her to you. Dodge the lunge, then hit her. If she throws the needle, jump over it twice (throw and return), then hit her. Only try to hit her in between if you were already close.
This game will punish you if you charge in and try to attack too many times. Some bosses require you to react more than others. Some will go down if you're bold and charge in, but many won't.

Hornet's actually one of those bosses you can just slap around. If I remember correctly, if you attack quickly enough she gets staggered every 5 hits (after the first 7), so you can pretty much stunlock her. That's also why 45 hits really isn't very many at all; if you play aggressively, the fight can be over in about a minute even with just the nail.

For a newcomer in theses sort of games, she can be a lot of trouble! In my first run, I fleeded False Knight, so she was my first real boss, and it took me like 10 attempts :p And a this moment, I didn't even know you can swing your nail downward, so no pogo :p

After looking at the Internet, I found the same comments than you, like "hoho, if you strugle at that trivial boss, this game is not for you!" But I finalt managed to overcome it, and even finish the fight full life, by focus on reading his attacks and dodging her, whit only "safe" hits, and healing when the "opportunity windows" opens

Hornet was so sool, and his voice so entertaining I could not help and must fight :p

Except there are 2 major differences, 1; watching paint dry you can actually see some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ progress, 2; paint doesn't constantly spam annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sound effects that drive you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane.
Spent 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours trying to find the ♥♥♥♥ with no map, then another hour listening to her keep shout "sharp, sharp, sharp". And best of all, it's not her attacks that are killing me, it's the unpredictable movement inbetween where she just randomly jumps to my possition for no reason.
Bollocks to that, I'll play a proper game like DS.

Hornet is supposed to be difficult for new players. Up until this point your only "boss" experiences are going to be False Knight and Gruz Mother if you can even really call them bosses. They require very little thought, timing or effort to beat (Hell you can skip False Knight when he hits his second phase)

Hornet on the otherhand is designed to teach you proper timing, patern recognition and so on to prepare you for the actual difficult bosses in the game. If you're new simply stick to the ground, if you try and attack her in the air she's going to punish you. Wait for her needle throw or her dash attack and get some hits in when she misses. Timing and patience is what the fight tries to teach you because you need timing and patience for a lot of bosses in HK.

As far as hits go you can stagger her after 6 hits in rapid succession in her first phase and 5 hits every time after that. Essentially you can stun lock her. Stick with it, push through it and you'll get through that fight easily in the future.

If I see the OP write a negative review on Hollow Knight, I won't be surprised. Unless he's a troll, he will probably write a negative review.
