Yes, i read it. then i went back to the shop. it was just the usual items.
I will say this: the map for Fog Canyon is especially difficult to get to, so it's likely to be one of the very last, if not the very last one you get! If you've just gotten to Fog Canyon for the first time, you can not get the map, yet! You just need to muddle your way through to the next area and double back, later.
Thats a possibilty... what special skill do you need to get to the map? I have as far as the dash
Sorry for being vauge, but I'm trying to avoid spoilers, since half the fun of a first run in a game like this is discovering the new toys/moves you get and figuring out how to use them to bypass the various obstacles blocking your way.
If the only upgrade you've got so far is the Mothwing Cloak (for the dash), I can tell you, definitively, you can't reach Cornifer's hidey hole in Fog Canyon, yet.... and not for a good, long while, yet.
I've gotten to the black wall but no further. Thank you for the help! Could you point me in the direction on where I should go next? I think I've explored everywhere but I still dont know where to go. Do I have to find a way to follow Hornet through the Fungal Wastes?
Anyway, I just wanted to add that i'm 99% certain that Fog Canyon is the only place you need to navigate without the luxury of being able to get a map from Cornifer on your first pass through. Thankfully, the areas you can actually reach at that point are fairly limited so it's fairly tough to get horribly lost on your way to the next area.
yes, explore the fungal wastes and find hornet
In the fungal wastes Hornet will just lead you to an entrance into the capital city of this realm, but the bridge will be closed. Search for the mantis village in the fungal wastes and there for an item that enables you to climb walls (you DON'T have to do any boss fights for this). With these claws go back to the closed bridge and finde a way into the city.
I have to go all the way through that area.. dang. I've died a couole times attempting to get all the way through
- Don't rush through the areas, take your time.
- Don't just spam attack your enemies (with some exceptions) yet. However you will be able to to this later when your blade/nail is better. Until then it's sometimes better to hit an enemy one or two times and then retreat.
- If you want to jump over an enemy, don't forget your dash ability. This way you also will be able to evade nastier enemies like bigger musrooms or mantis warriors.
- Sometimes it is easier to attack an enemy from above by attacking down and then bouncing up again. This needs some training (you have to repeat the attack) for the right attack speed, but if you can master it then you can avoid most of the attack patterns from many enemies.
- You can move the screen a little bit by looking up or down for a while. This way you can see for example where you would land if you jump down.
- I'm pretty sure that you want to heal as often as possible in the fungal wastes but do not let this prevent you from using magic attacks like "revengeful spirit" in order to at least weaken the ememies by a large amount.
- Yes the plants with the exploding spores are extremely annoying. What to do in this scenario depends on where the plant grows and how many plants are in that area. You can try to spam attack the plant if it's in reach. Or you could try to lure it's own explosive spore back to the plant. Sometimes it's even best just to ignore the plant and run past it as far as possible (be warned, that's not always a wise idea since you may run into even more of these plants).
