Stuck in City Of Tears
I don't know how to progress to the right side of the city. (After Hollow Knight's statue). Do I have to beat the Soul Sanctum boss first or is there another way? Soul sanctum boss is way too hard for me right now.

You have to go into right half of City of Tears from another way (There are 3 ways to go there, 4 if you count left half of CoT). After that, you can connect both halfs.

If Soul Sanctum is too hard for you, grind for 1800 geo, buy lantern, and search where you can use it.

No other options huh (Unless there is other options)? Well, I guess I'll have to grind 1800 Geo. Do you know any good grinding locations?

You can get out of the city using the stag station in the city store rooms.
As for getting to the right part of the city, you can get there through the sewers which you'll need a simple key for (there is a simple key somewhere in the city storerooms, as well).

Dung defender isn't easier then soul master if you ask me though. Lack of dive magic that is very useful against him will hurt.
You can upgrade your nail by the time you get to soul sanctum.

I actually upgraded my nail. What bothers me in both areas is that there isn't a bench near the bosses. If I want to fight the soul master, then I have to go through the teleporting, ball throwing enemy (I don't remember its name) hell. That's what bothers me the most, not the fight itself.

Just ignore them.
If you opened all door beforehand, this will be easy.

yeah just rush to the bosses, pretty much every normal mob can be skipped easily in this game.

Okay, I just beat the soul master and got the desolate dive ability. Do I have to go into the sewers now or can I just access the right side of the city now somehow?

You can go pretty much everywhere now.
This ability opens up a lot of ways for you now but exploring by yourself is better.
You can go to sewers if you want but you don't have to.
