Map not updating

Is anyone else having the issue of their map not updating correctly?? I have the quill, corresponding map, I've been to the part of the map multiple times, sat on a bench for it to update but still nothing.

Its driving me crazy, I just want a complete map of the area!

It's possible that the area you think is part of one map is in fact of a different map.

Even if its like a middle piece of an area?

Well if the incomplete part is surrounded by completed parts of a single map then yeah that's probably a bug. The one I was thinking of is between Greenpath and Fungal Waste, and that won't be filled in for a while yet.

Do you have the quil for updating the map? And if so, have you sat down at a bench after exploring the area? Should update automatically after resting at a bench with that item.

Yup. That area drove me to the wall as well, since they put a black unexplored area between two explored area, I was wondering for ages whether I was missing something important or the game just wasn't working right. You need a pretty late game ability to get to the map of that area.

I do have it and I have been doing as you said. It will pretty much update everywhere except a select view spots no matter how many times I have been there.

I had several occasions where my map did not update even though I had the quill equipt. To be honest.. most areas after fungal wastes did not update, sometimes not even at benches.
