1. what do i have to do for the different endings exactly?
2. are there are easy ways to get through the palace?
It is just one giant platforming challange. It is hardest one that exists in the game but you should manage since there are no enemies there.
Going through the White Palace gives you half of a charm. If you have the other half, you'll gain a full charm that costs five notches. Read that charm's description and see if you can find where to go from there (if you don't care about being spoilt the answer, head down to the abyss with the King's Soul equipped). Once you gain a charm that you cannot unequipped (don't worry it won't take up your notches), you're ready for the other two endings. Just go back to the final boss again and hopefully it should be self-evident.
There are no easy way to get through the palace, but there is a set of charms that should make your life easier. Hiveblood will make sure you never die if you're patient enough, and grubsong and deep focus will minimize the amount of time you need to heal, saving time.
A good charm combo for the White Palace is Grubsong + Grubberfly + Deep Focus. Its way more time efficient than waiting for Hiveblood to heal you. If you don't care about how long you take, and would rather use those notches on some other charms, then go for Quickslash + Longnail/Mark of Pride to make Nail-bouncing easier.
There are a few places in the White Palace where you can skip by taking secret paths. You can look them up if want.
There is an optional section in the White Palace that is notorious for being particularly hellish, which is officially titled, 'The Path of Pain', which is pretty accurate. It doesn't count towards the completion achievements or anything, its just an optional challenge with some lore tied to it.
You can pogo off of sawblades and spikes, not thorns. Use this to your advantage. If you're better than me, you can use a lamppost to pogo from it and reset your double jump and dash.
Hiveblood, or grubsong and deep focus. Either charm combo will help a lit, if you are patient.
Grubsong is ~15 SOUL when you take DMG, Grubberfly increases this to ~26 SOUL. Healing 1 HP costs 33 SOUL, but by using Deep Focus, you can heal 2 HP for 33 SOUL.
So you can lose 2 HP, gain ~52 SOUL in the process, then heal that 2 HP for a cost of 33 SOUL. This ultimately results in a net gain of ~19 SOUL.
Granted this charm combo takes up 8 charm notches, which only leaves 2 notches(3 if you got the one from Grimm). Those 2 remaining notches should probably go to Longnail, so its easier to hit the hazards. But if you do have Grimm's notch, then either Mark of Pride or Quickslash would be a better option.
standard ending does not need white palace - the others do. (at the end of the palace you need to hit a guy till he gives you a thing ..I almost walked out without doing it because it didn't seem obvious ..)
How to White Palace:
Grub Song, Hive charm, Double healing Charm. <- this will make you theoretically immortal.
The saws and spikes will reset you to a platform and you will take 1 damage from it, the hive charm will start regenerating it while grub song gives you soul. If you get hit before the regen is ready you will lose 1 hp which won't come back.
Grub Song will give you enough for 1 heal (2 hp with this charm setup) every 3 hits, so you will have to wait for 1 hp to regen via hive in between trys.
It will take 1 - 2 hours, depending on your platforming skills, optional area within the optional area not included. That one is a completly different beast.
The charm combo is recommended because otherwise you will run out of HP and Soul during platforming and end up resetted to your last bench. Not a fun thing to happen. Experienced it once, changed to the charms and grit my teeth.
