The other warrior dreams are OK I think; at least most of them kind of break the pattern of the typical "enter a room, door closes, fight boss that only makes sense in that room", which is a welcome change.
Other ones I'm not a fan of: GPZ and the Godhome version of Uumuu.
I started Pantheon of the Sage with weaversong equipped when I first did it. Uumuu showed me that was the worst mistake of my life.
Actually, Enemy Randomizer mod makes it painfully apparent that many of the Warrior Dreams only make sense in their original rooms too. iirc both Xero and Galien just fly right off screen, and Marmu always (covering as it's worth trying if anyone is interested) turns into Xero for some reason, while Xero turns into Galien
Conversely, I think my favourite Randomizer boss battles all took place in their original rooms. Troupe Master Grimm and Hornet Sentinel (Kingdom's Edge) with no upgrades (including no dash), a twist on Broken Vessel where (interesting change you wouldn't expect) the orange ghosties were replaced with sideways Vengefly Kings. Also, it's neat doing the Radiance's climb when you only have claw on one side.
Yeah, but at least seeing the giant bush transform and gain glowing eyes was terrifying.
Yeah, flukemarm is pretty ****.
Massive moss charger sucks as a boss, but at least it isn't unfair like markoth.
Couldn't agree more. No other boss comes close to the amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ markoth conjures up.
My most loved boss is between both versions of Grimm, the fight just seems fair with his move set but still extremely brutal, it feels good to beat him and there is steady progress in learning him (unlike zote the douche). I also love the mantis sisters the music and movement makes you engaged but not hard or braindead.
The worst part about GPZ is when he does the dash attack, so you pogo on him to avoid it, and then he staggers INTO you and you die.
Hate that.
