Pogoing off of him tends to be a pretty solid strategy so long as you time your jump properly when he does his downward slash attack.
Charm suggestions:
-Quick Focus and Shape of Unn (or at least one of those, since his speed makes healing windows fairly short)
-Nail/melee build: Unbreakable Strength, Mark of Pride
-Spell build: Shaman Stone, Spell Twister, Soul Catcher (Soul Eater is definitely nice, but it takes up a lot of notches and having Shaman Stone + Spell Twister already helps quite a bit with your damage-per-soul)
Spells are definitely a great help for this fight, and Descending Dark in particular tends to absolutely break a lot of the late-game bosses. Honestly, though, if you have a fully-upgraded nail (which is 100% possible by this point in the game), I think you should be able to get by with melee attacks and maybe 2 or 3 casts of D.Dark.
Good luck!
(EDIT: sorry, not sure why this comment got posted twice.)
When you stay close to him, he'll really have only 3 attacks:
1) regular dash
-Just dash through him with sharp shadow
2) jump slash
-Honestly just stay still, he won't hit you unless you are far away
3) shockwaves
- either shadow dash ( a bit risky if he does another one ) or descending dark with the invisibility frames. Even mixing should work just fine
I usually just keep smacking him nonstop with keeping those 3 moves and answers to them in mind
Just keep jumping around in the top right corner of the map, clinging to the wall. The only attack you need to dodge is the shockwave. (You may not even need to do this, if you have Hiveblood to recover 1 heart of damage and he doesn't spam shockwave. Additional heart charms also work). Let your minions do the work, just keep yourself tucked way as much as possible in the top right. Do little hops and keep clinging to the wall.
It's even easier with Cloth, as she does a little bit of damage as well, and will deal the killing blow. But you need to have rescued her from the Mawleks and Aspids. (The dark area where she's hiding beneath the ground from enemies, then pops up after you defeat them).
