DLC = Part of 100%?
Does the DLC content count towards the 100% completion achievement? Accidentally activated the DLC stuff without realizing it till it was too late, and now I'm worried I may not make the 20hr achievement mark since I've never attempted the DLC content before.

Mind you, I'm at about 7 hours in, still haven't done CP, CoT, Kingdom, Abyss nor the Coliseum.

The DLC content actually allows you to reach 106%, meaning you can now actually avoid some of the more difficult things and still reach 100%. As long as you hit 100% you will get the achievement once you beat the final boss.

Huh, so it's not a bad thing if I run into the DLC content, then? Hm, guess I've got some surprises heading my way! Might actually be a good thing, since the Coliseum is just so...time consuming.

Edit: And does "final boss" mean the True Boss or just the natural one you face?

You just need the credits to roll, good thing too, otherwise Steel Heart would be so much harder to get.

Wait, seriously?! I was freaking out about having to face the True Ending boss, cause my god... I think I pulled my hair out last time. Of course, Steel Heart/Soul will still be a madening thing to achieve, but it just got a little easier!
There are 3 endings to Hollow Knight.
The base ending occurs whenever you beat the "final" boss without meeting the requirements for the other 2 endings.
After getting an ending, you are still able to continue a save from the last bench, allowing you to obtain the remaining endings and any content you missed.
Once you meet the requirements for the remaining 2 endings, you will no longer be able to obtain the base ending on that save, so do the base ending first.
You will know when you've met the requirements for the remaining 2 endings, because Hornet will be standing in front of the final boss chamber.
After talking with Hornet, go into the chamber and refight the "final" boss.
Once you've done enough damage to the "final" boss, Hornet will enter the boss chamber to help you. At this point you may choose between the "Sealed Siblings" or "Dream No More" endings.
"Sealed Siblings" is obtained by killing the "final" boss with Hornet by your side.
"Dream No More" is obtained by entering the mind of the "final" boss while Hornet restrains him with her needle and thread. Inside its mind, you will challenge the TRUE FINAL BOSS. You must defeat it to get the true ending.
There is also a secret post-credits cutscene that can be unlocked by doing a particular side-quest (the side-quest only becomes available after the requirements for the base ending have been met).

I've gotten the Dream No More ending before, and either the base or Sealed Siblings, but Sealed Siblings sounds like Hornet lives, so perhaps I haven't seen that one before...

Ok, I was just trying to be as vague as I could be, in case you hadn't seen the endings. Hornet does technically live in "Sealed Siblings", but she is drained of her energy and forced into a comatose state, becoming a Dream Guardian like Herrah.

See, I assumed it might be something like that, so no worries. I was just confused that there was even another ending, so that will be fun to try and find.

There is still the post-credits cutscene:

The side-quest starts in Fungal-Wastes and in addition to the requirements of the base ending, it also requires the charm Sporeshroom(effect: creates a dps cloud whenever you Focus, also reveals Shroomish lore tablets and translates them). After talking to an npc that has mysteriously appeared in the Wastes after opening the Black Vault, go to Kingdom's Edge. Somewhere in the bottom-right corner of Kingdom's Edge, there is a Shroomish lore tablet hidden behind a false wall. The tablet has a riddle inscribed on it, which must be solved in order to properly do the sidequest.

Wait, you have to have that charm equipped to do this? Or just own it? Cause I do have that already, but never even knew about the tablets...

You must have it equipped.
While going through the Fungal Wastes, have you ever noticed stange pipes? While wearing Sporeshroom, you can hear whispers coming out of the pipes. When you get close to them they will emit a yellow light and you will be able to understand them.
I can't remember where all of them are, but I know there is one in the top-right corner of the room where you find Sporeshroom. There is also one in the bottom-right corner of the vertical room full of those annoying shroom turrets (the room is below where you fight the Shroomal Ogres for a charm notch).

I... I'm going to have to wait till after I've gotten all of my upgrades, cause this sounds rather interesting, but knowing me, I'll mess something up. But still, finally, something I've never known about! I just thought the charm was useful for defensive builds, nice to know that something has another use!

That's fine, you can't start the mushroom side-quest until you open the Black Egg Temple anyway.

Open? As in defeating the Dreamers, right?

Yes, but you shouldn't go after Herrah(the one in Deepnest) until you have the Shade Cloak from the Abyss. Because otherwise you'll miss out on some lore.
