The layout of the Steam controller is rather unusual, and its directionals are not that precise.
Though I believe that since the game has support for the PS4 controller, I would say that's probably better.
I just use an Xbox 360 controller because, A) 360 controller is just cheaper, B) It has a built in USB cable so I don't need to waste batteries, and C) The Xbox One controller I have is just a bit too small for my big hands(F*** you genetics!).
I suspect using a controler is far superior, especially for when the combat gets more complex during the lategame, but it is very playable with a keyboard.
But what I meant was that I have a 360 controller with a built-in usb cable.
Also, the main reason for choosing to use my 360 controller over my One controller, is that the 360 controller is more convenient for my hand size.
The PS4 controller is much better, but I don't want to go out and buy a PS4 controller just for this.
