or you could just say to heck with it all and slap on a bench warp mod or something.
Outside of the multiple fast travel methods (yes there are more than one) and movement abilities though, some points to keep in mind to shorten travel time wherever you are at in the game could include:
- exploring every area thoroughly the *first* time so you don't keep going back multiple times or lose track of what you have and haven't seen.
- This means buying and using map pins to mark specific areas you suspect you might return to so you can go directly there when needed and not be wandering around trying to remember where that one place was that you wanted to check out now that you have a new ability. (There's a difference between getting "lost" and not having any sense of direction even for the places you've been already.)
- NOT killing every single enemy you see. Only bother if you need soul or they're an actual threat (or better yet, just learn to move faster and dodge their attacks as you skip by ).
If you still can't be bothered, then you can install mods and use Benchwarp to go back to places you've been, but it's better to learn to move fast as it'll also help you in late game boss fights to develop your speed and ability to dodge.
