Some rewards are really worth returning to, however. Especially the one at 900 Essence.
The Dream bosses are really hard, so you will probably want to return to them later anyway.
You can't really miss anything in this game except one ending (if you actually do too much before completing the game) and 3 things require a per-save game choice, so to see everything you will have to complete the game again on another save.
You can also play the game and complete it as many times as you want on the same save file and do full completion at any time.
So I would say, I would chill and just play the game normally 🙂
Generally be prepared to backtrack a lot, as this is pure metroidvania style. The game was designed for backtracking.
And of course, I wouldn't be myself if I wouldn't recommend my Web Tool for Completionists:

I'll just add that it makes the game a lot easier if you can get the rewards sooner than if you get them later, since you're going to be sitting through the dialogue regardless. The Seer is right next to a Stagway more or less, so you might as well (crystal) dash on in there whenever you've just defeated a major Dream Boss or you've taken out at least two Warrior Dreams.
Thanks a lot. I was kind of worried about it since Soul Master and Broken Vessel are up next on my list of things to take care of and I know they have an option for a dream battle and since I'm somewhere around 667 Essence I was worried about missing the rewards for the 700 Essence mission since I know they'll drop a lot if I beat them in the dream realm. It's just good to know that I won't miss any rewards because it's going to save me a lot of time in the next run (that I'll start really soon purely because I want to fight the Mantis Lords again and I'll probably just stop playing that file after that haha).
And since I'm already rambling about this, if I beat Soul Master and/or Broken Vessel, will their bodies disappear like the other bosses or will they actually stay there until I use the dream nail on them to fight a second time? Because it's probably gonna take forever until I actually beat them regularly and I might need to take a huge breather and go do some platforming to calm down before trying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode and I don't want to miss the opportunity so I'm asking now while I have the opportunity so I can plan my next game sesh without accidentally missing a whole ass battle just because I did decide to dump all my geo in the fountain (that's the plan for after beating Broken Vessel haha). And thanks again!

The bodies will stay there until you decide to fight them, there's no time limit or anything.
No problem!
Kanna made a good point about the Seer being literally next to the Stag Station 🙂
Okay. So here are the fastest ways to get dream essence:
-go around to each of those tree emblems on your map, if you don't see them then you need to buy the map pins from cornifer/his wife's shop in dirtmouth. Go and strike the tree and large red dream orbs will be distributed across the room you are in, collect all those orbs, you need to do this.
-go around the map and find the dream bosses and defeat them. I think those pins you get i was talking about will show you where these are as well. You activate these fights by striking things that have those little dream orbs coming off of them, if you haven't yet go back to broken vessel and strike him (i say this cuz i missed that the first time time i went through the game)
-one of these that's easy to miss is in bretta's house. You rescue bretta in the fungal wastes near the bottom of that map. Once you save her, then inside of her house you'll find a mask shard and a statue with little dream orbs coming off it either inside a hole or in the main room (i can't remember), once you strike that you will fight zote the grey prince and win several hundred dream orbs.
Keep doing this until you find everything, and you'll get the completion points.
