Custom Knight Template?

I was trying to make my own skin, but due to the somewhat erratic placement of the sprites, I don't know how big I can go. Is there a template with sprite borders out there somewhere? Possibly even a previewer?

Just try looking at the default skin template? It probably sure has borders in it. Also, and probably every skin maker's been using and editing the default template on making their own skin.

It doesn't have borders, except the outward most pixels of each frame. It'd be unfortunate to edit a bunch of frames only to find out that one frame is thinner than the rest, and won't fit whatever shell shape I've done. Or to have to paint the whole thing in rainbows and play through the whole game for some animations that only appear a few times, watching for the errant colors.

Oh well, if that's the best way to do it, then I'll have at it. Just making sure there wasn't a more streamlined method.

I was able to find some resources for the sprites individually split up as well as a sprite packer for the process. https://github.com/magegihk/HollowKnight.SpritePacker heres the packer download with link to a tutorial document which itself has a link to download the sprite singles or make them yourself. i get that im several months late on this front but i stumbled on here while i was looking for something custom knight related and figured id drop it here to help
