What's the most challenging thing you've done in Hollow Knight?

Hollow Knight is full of challenges, some so easy that you can not do them if you accidentally set your screen on fire while eating a toast with your foot, some that only certain players will never get the chance to do and some that makes you wanna emigrate to America for legal gun access.

Point is, there are some insane things in the game. Everybody gives up at a certain point and I am interested of what the people here have achieved.

As for me, don't expect to hear anything from me until the Oblobbles get defeated on radiant. I hate those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THINGS and I am unable to remember anything from Hollow Knight with love until the sun expires and the universe needs to buy a new one but instead of cash it keeps trading wet newspapers and until a new sun is set in-place every living thing has frozen to death.

I am kidding.
I personally have done 112%, PoH, PoP and the bottom half of HoG on radiant difficulty (same build I use for attuned difficulty of all bosses to make it slightly fairer).
Except Oblobbles.
I am trying to do every "god" in HoG on radiant and later try getting the weathered mask. I have no desire to get the hunter's mark.

Update: As of 19th of July I would like to provide an update.
I've beaten the entire Hall of Gods on radiant with the same charms I used a long time ago on P5 for additional challenge (Uheart, Qfocus Fstrength, Mark Of Pride). Only exception is Markoth. I kept trying to beat him for 3 days straight and I just couldn't, so I overcharmed and practically cheesed him with Shamman Stone and Soul Eater.

I've also beaten P4 with all bindings at once. I would love to do the same for P3 but Collector doesn't really like me. I can't see the baldurs at all and the aspids prevent me from doing any damage while Collector is staggered.

These are not my achievements, I saw those in various YT videos, and they all seem terribly difficult:

- finish the game without Crystal Dash ("Mag" route)
- Low% godhome ending (finish P5 with base nail, no extra masks and soul vessels, no spells on top of vengeful spirit, and only two charms: Grimmchild and Dream wielder)
- max% benchless (achieve 108% without sitting on any bench - it means dying also invalidates the run)
- "no focus" ending (unbind your focus button on your controller and finish the game - the only way is completing P5, since you cannot beat any dreamer nor THK without using focus)
- get shade cloak without Mantis claw (this requires dream gate and a lot of shade skips)

I haven't really done much of the difficult stuff in this game, but I'd say the two most difficult things for me were completing the last room of the Path of Pain (spent like 6 hours on it alone) and getting through White Palace for the first time specifically because I had almost no health charms (No Hive, no Joni's, just grubsong and lifeblood heart) and it really made me improve my platforming

Path of Pain is a great way to become better on platforming. Once you've completed it once, you can do it again in less than 5 minutes.
Without the White Palace I wouldn't have used the down-slash on enemies as much as I do now.

I've done this myself, and i don't think it getting it requires Dreamgate, getting out of the Abyss is what requires it. (Unless the bug(might be fixed) where the checkpoint isn't set because of an unknown cause(might be playing on Linux) happens.)

I've seen someone try this route and both the infamous acid skip without Crystal Dash to get to Isma's Tear, AND the spike tunnel near Basin on the way there look incredibly brutal. (The Shade Skip to get Wings looks fun though.) :')

I've tried a few different kinds of shade skip, including the one to get to Blue Lake without Claw or Dash (probably my favourite). I look forward to having more time to try pulling some more of those off...

I love that both of these are on the same page! With some (more like most) fights, you can use spells more for an edge; with others, the nail can give you an advantage, but for this one? It only gets harder if you're not using everything you've got. (*I was going to say except nail arts but I haven't done this fight with bindings yet so I don't know if this changes in that context.)

At 1:19:30, they place a dreamgate to perform a useless shade skip. Useless because you can jump, dash right, and attack down to pogo on the decoration, thus getting up to the ledge. Because of this, Dreamgate isn't required to reach Shade Cloak.
When i did that, i had longnail and mark of pride on, and i never tried without those charms, so i don't know whether they're mandatory.
(Side note : yes, it's possible to get mark of pride without mantis claw using a method that requires using the Dream Nail's knockback effect.)

The run you linked may use Dreamgate in one more location in the Abyss, but since it's possible to reach that location without any shade skips, it's unrequired.

I don't think the version matters much, unless that specific decoration is in a slightly different spot in either 1.2.2.1, 1.4.3.2 or the current one compared to the others.

I've just managed to beat the P5, after almost two weeks of continuous attempts.
Despite having the shaman stone equipped, I used no spells during the final fight.

i've never actually fought URad, but from what i saw of her gameplay i'm going to assume this is satire?
