Controller Stopping working

I'm using an original microsoft controller to play the game, but it stops a lot during the game, it just stops working, but if I press start it shows the menu, and when I return to the game it works again, but it always happens again , sometimes with a ridiculously short interval, is very annoying.
Does anyone know what can it be?

I don't think you're supposed to play the game with a joystick... Try turning native controller input on/off and see if that helps. It might be something with your "joystick" or maybe the compatibility with windows/steam.

I don't think it's my joystick, it only happens when I play hollow knignt, it works normally in other games

and if i disable the native controller ,the joystick dont work

If the issue is what I think it is and you're not playing the Hollow Knight beta, then:

If one of my theories is correct, another option is to configure the controller for Steam Input and enable Steam Input for HK (or globally for all Steam Library).

The discussion link still exists but you need to be logged into Steam with an account that owns HK to access it.
