Download it from there. The other download never worked for me.
I tried downloading from a Fireborn video, then the setup said I don't have the latest game version so I had to go to properties > betas and use the 1.4.3.2 version and now the setup worked!
It may be very useful to backup all your save files before playing with any modding! Some mods will "contaminate" your save files.
The best way is to play on a totally new Windows local profile created specifically for modded HK, so that you have separate save files for modded and unmodded Hollow Knight and you won't mix and match them.
To run Hollow Knight outside Steam (DRM-free) place a simple steam_appid.txt file with the number 367520 saved inside it, in the main HK 1.4.3.2 folder (where the .exe is)
