You don't actually need the lantern to explore Crystal Peak, except for three specific screens.

Try finding Cornifer as fast as possible, this will help a lot. You'll find him on your way to the top and left. Go up in the area with lots of conveyor belts.

If you go to the very bottom of Crystal Peak, and then go left, you will find a toll booth that you can open. This will allow you to exit to Forgotten Crossroads.

Hm, then sorry, I though it only required to see the toll gate on the left side, not on the right. There was no mention about this on the wiki specifically.

In this case, looks like you need to continue exploring Crystal Peak. The road is up to the top, then right, then down again, and right again. You'll find something there that will allow you to get back to town from Crystal Peak.

If you haven't sat at a bench you can save and quit. It will automatically bring you to the last bench or boss you beat.

Yup, there are two, though the DD entrance is one-way, if I recall correctly (at least without Monarch Wings).
The toll booth entrance seems to not be accessible without the lantern even from inside (according to OP, I didn't verify this).

I sat on the bench in a crystal peak, so restarting the game won't help me. I am without a flashlight, so it won't help me through the toll machine either. There is 1 option - to go around to the resting place and find the stag station there. But I died on the way to it, so my soul and darkness will prevent me from jumping over spikes and jumping onto platforms. Sorry for the slightly stupid question, is it possible to delete specifically 1 save on the desired bench?

You are talking about the hardest option, which I don't really recommend! This you will do later, once you get back to town and buy the lantern.

You can try renaming your backup save file in the save files locations. There is one backup file which is named user1.dat.bak1. Copy your original save file (user1.dat) somewhere or rename it, and then rename user1.dat.bak1 to user1.dat.
Maybe the backup save won't have the shade on it.
If not, you will have to continue.
