How to get past green path? (don't spoil please)

Now i love this game (so far at least) ,but i don't know wtf i'm doing, i just walk aimlessly around trying different paths and have done so for 10 hours, so i'm asking if anyone knows what i have to do?

TEN hours? Oh man... Have you gotten past the first room of Greenpath? If not, I think you've probably been traipsing in circles around the Forgotten Crossroads. If you haven't already, buy the map of the area (the mapmaker should be singing somewhere on the left side of the area), and mapping equipment from the mapmaker's wife in Dirtmouth; on the map you'll see the Crossroads are basically a big loop, with somewhere on the right a path that leads to the center of the loop. That's where you need to go first.

If you've already done that and have the ranged attack that lets you enter Greenpath beyond the first room, just go down and left, then eventually up again.

no i have been trapped in circles at green path, i have gotten past the first room, i swear.

however since then, i've tried all paths, but nothing has really happened.

have you beaten the greenpath boss?

once you beat the boss and get the ability, you can leave greenpath and go to a new area from the crossroads.

if you haven't, then go beat the boss at the top left of the area

If you have only little part of Greenpath available to you, like 3-4 rooms, then you probably have the same issue I had. Then you need to know:you can bring down platforms suspended on vines.
