Lost kin bug

I'm trying to fight the lost kin, but when I got to the corpse there were no sparkles and I can't initiate the dream fight. I have the achievement for killing him, but the icon has an error and isn't showing properly.
I don't remember fighting him and I don't have him in my journal. Something went very wrong here...

I may be wrong, but I think you might have to go past and get the upgrade Broken Vessel guards before you can fight Lost Kin.

I am not sure what you mean by that. I've looked on the internet and nowhere does it say you need to do something to special before you fight it, other than defeating the Broken Vessel and getting the dream nail. Which I have.
Also for some reason I do have the achievement for killing the Lost Kin, but the icon next to it has an error and wont show the proper icon. Despite having the achievement, I do not have the Lost Kin in my journal.

To fight the lost kin you have to get the monarch wings to access it. Secondly are you sure the right achievement. Theres one for both of them.

Okay so I just refreshed my achievements and the error is gone, maybe I have killed it and don't remember. But it's not in my journal.

There is no journal entry for Lost Kin, there seems to be a very few number of enemies with no journal entry.

I'm pretty sure you just need to leave the area and come back. Most people will get the Monarch Wings right after killing Broken Vessel (because why not), so right after that will be the first time they return to the corpse, but you can also go back the way you came.

Anyway OP, if you have the Steam achievement for it, it should tell you the date and time when you got it. Anything happen around that time that might... make you forget?

Yup. Lost Kin doesn't have a Hunter's Journal entry.

Something similar happened to me. God tamer appeared in godhome months before I actually even attempted trial of the fool.
