Steam controller not working

Hi everyone, is anyone having trouble getting their controller to work? My game won't recognize my steam controller at all right now. It works fine in most other games and used to work in Hollow Knight as well. There were a couple of other games that got affected by a steam update recently that disabled controllers for them. Hoping it's not the same thing here and someone has a fix?

Until someone who knows more shows up, I'll just ask if you've tried toggling Native Controller support in the game, and if you've tried turning off Steam's global controller calibration setting in Big Picture. Both of those have helped me at different points in time.

Thanks for the answer - turning on Native Controller support worked for me!! :D I'm not sure why I needed to do this now when it was working fine before, but it works now and that's all I needed, haha. Thanks!

Yeah, I was confused the first time too, Native support works though.

Yeah it's weird. I didn't need the NC support at first, then I did need it for a while, and now it doesn't matter if I have it on or not (but I have to have the Steam calibration turned off). Probably varies with different controllers.

For me deleting proton files worked
