Is Geo that needed in the later game?

I honestly am not sure how far I am exactly, but I have the pure nail, all areas uncovered, 8 masks, 2 extra soul orbs, and like 85% of the charms, and at this point about 10,000 geo.
Although I have pretty much cleared out all the shops and opened up most all of the paid gates (I think) so is geo really that necessary at this point? Or can I not stress that much if for some reason I lose it all to a double death.

Near the end of the game you will need a lot of Geo to buy some things, but it isn't necessary to buy them.

There is a certain divine bug from the Grimm Troupe, who will have a use of your Geo, if you haven't banished the Troupe yet. It's entirely optional.
There is also the fountain in Ancient Basin.
You can see how far you are in Game Completion by analyzing your save file.

You hit a point where geo becomes useless but honestly if you wanna buy something you may as well buy it because by the end of the game you're rolling in it.

Geo becomes quite useless at some point. As they mentioned before, there is a "shop" within the Grimm Troupe where you can "buy" certain (really expensive) upgrades, but they are optional as the quality they add is probably not worth the momney, and you wouldn't even go for them if you didn't have money left and nothing else to spend it in.

The only thing you could even possibly spend it on is Divine of the Grimm Troupe.
