Nosk will run right over you if you stick to the sides of the raised section in the middle, and you can slash upward and hit him without risk of taking damage. For instance, is nosk is on the right side of the arena, stick to left wall of the raised middle area and wait for him to run over you. I beat him that way and it worked fine.
In the wild, I hadn't gotten Abyss Shriek yet, so it was much harder. I mostly just flailed around until I somehow pulled off a win. Being able to defeat the spawns in one hit is crucial, so Strength and Quick Slash are good. Cyclone Slash is excellent against the main body, so consider Nailmaster's Glory if you have it. Thorns of Agony is also good at cleaning up the spawns if you're getting hit a lot.
Keep in mind that the reward for beating it is pretty minor, so if you're having trouble, you can wait and come back with Abyss Shriek.
