Where to get dlc?
I have been searching for the dlc online and in the dlc page. I can't find the free dlc. Am I missing something? Is it built into the game please help me out. Also if you get it somewhere else then please link me there. Finally, I do not mean the new gods and gloory dlc coming out I mean the first two I know gods and glory is still under development. p.s. If it changes anything I have not
beaten the game please don't be smart with this info and say then I shouldn't be getting the dlc I just want to know so I have things to do after I do everything in the base game

DLCs are built into the game.
In the main menu, look at the version number. There are icons above them. The pentagram-like circle means you have Hidden Dreams; the red demon-like head means you have Grimm Troupe.
And to be honest, these DLCs are better found and/or beaten mid-game, though they do have content for endgame players.

They technically aren't DLC, they're content updates (basically an expansion).
People just call them DLC, even though that's not what it is.

We've had discussions on this in the past, but they never seemed to go anywhere, since no one could really agree on the technical definition of "DLC".

Not trying to start anything but, well, in the end... it's still content you download... downloadable content... DLC. It doesn't have to be paid. Really, it's in the name, i don't see why people try to overcomplicate it.
It's not so much what it technically is or isn't. It's more how steam treats a category of a particular kind of additional content. It's confusing because steam has a separate section when you look at your library for downloadable content. Even if it's a soundtrack with wallpapers, it's there on the list as separate items. But there's nothing for Hollow Knight. Players accustomed to seeing that list and don't see it there might be confused.

In case you've never seen the kind of DLC I'm referring to, here's an example:

So to avoid confusion, it's better to refer hollow knight's "DLC" as patch updates or content patches since patches don't show up in the DLC window. I know it's all pedantic, but the terminology is only there to avoid confusion.
