I give up :( (or at least for now)
I just wanted to share my biggest frustration and regret: Pantheon of the Hallownest. I absolutely love this game and as a completionist, I took the challenge to get the 63 achievements … but aghhh, the last pantheon has destroyed me. I practiced so many hours with the bosses I found more difficult and did the other pantheons with bindings (separately) but I just can’t finish the fricking Pantheon of the Hollownest. Markoth, No Eyes, Nosk and Absolute Radiance killed my resolution. I love u Team Cherry but what where you thinking when you decided that putting an achievement for finishing this Pantheon was a good idea?

Anyway, I think I’ll stop playing for a while and see if I get motivated later. Until then, I will have to conform with my 62 achievements. :quirrel:

P.S.: dun't git gut me :c

You actually still have managed to get much farther than I (I have 6 achievements less than you) and in 10h less time 🙂 I totally doubt I will manage one day to defeat Nightmare King Grimm or any of the Pantheons, they are just too difficult for me and I already put way too much time into HK.

This is actually not a bad idea. After I reached AR in the 5th Pantheon for the 1st time, I took rest for neraly 2 month. Then came back and wiped AR, and a week later - the 5th Pantheon.

Alternatively, you can try to do another stuff - first 4 pantheons with bindings, hall of champions on radiant, hunting for more secrets and Hunter's entries outside of Godhome in Hallownest, beatind GPZ in Bretta's house for Gold statue, beating WD for secret conversation, etc.

Agreed, taking a break from the game helped me a ton too. Got up to P4 back when Godmaster dropped and got stuck for a while. Came back a few months ago and blew through P4 and while I haven’t beaten P5 yet, I’ve been close practically every time.

I can't blame you; the 5th pantheon isn't exactly what I'd call fun.

Wow, I haven't made the third end yet. :)

Everyone has his own level. Yours is pretty high.

Instead of forcing yourself to do something for an in-game achievement, why not just play for fun? Practicing against the statues until you can beat them basically 100% of the time then doing the PoH is the best way to go, but only if you're having fun playing the game. After all, unless you're a pro getting paid, there's really no such thing as an "achievement" in a video game.

Personally, the only time I even look at achievements is to see if there's anything interesting in the game I don't even know exists and want to try something new.

Follow my road: I plan on doing the entire hall of gods (except Radkoth and Absolute radiant) on radiant, then even thinking on attempting PoH. I hope you've practiced the bosses well in the HoG, as if you did not, you're lucky to have ever gotten to PoH, keep in mind that PoH takes time, if you plan on doing it in 2 days, plan again, because you are not going to. I have currently spent well over 2 weeks preparing for PoH, and I doubt I can do it yet.

I have beaten PoH twice and I decided to beat all bosses on radiant. I mean ALL including AbsRad.
It will take a while......

I mean cool, but I could care less, I was not talking to you :P

In fairness, it's not unreasonable for game devs to add very very difficult challenges specifically for those players who love their game enough. It's kind of your own fault if you expect yourself to get everything :P

Frankly, this guy is a bit of an ass... His profile reads "Hi guys I am pro gamer and I make steam guides for Hollow Knight and possibly Hollow Knight: Silksong." and he made a post bragging that the Pantheon of Hallownest was too easy :\
Onyx Aug 19, 2020 @ 1:06pm
Oh wow yeah I can confirm on that.
VR456 Aug 19, 2020 @ 1:26pm
If you need help with No Eyes and Markoth, the trick is very simple: Great Slash. Seriously, practice with it in HoG and you will see how crucial it is. It's also the only reliable way to hit AbsuRd on her final phase that I know of.

I made heavy use of the nail Artes in my first playthrough of the game, which is apparently somewhat unusual. It helped against Grimm in particular, actually- dash slash can be reallyyy useful in certain situations.

(Also, I'm super proud of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= 3XY0druK46g)

Achievement are a thing but here they added also two endings one of which we can consider actually the true canon ending; at least they didn't tie % completion to it.

I took a break too, the pantheon is too long and difficult plus you need to clear it two times, truly frustrating.
