I hate nosk

this is just a PSA on how I absolutely hate nosk. Its not a fun fight. Its incredibly boring, with each of us whittling the others health down one at a time. there isn't a fun mechanic behind the boss, the ost sucks, and in general its a slog. I'm on my like 7th or 8th try, and it makes me want to put the game down for a bit. I know he's optional, but I really want to complete everything

I like Nosk, one of my favourite bosses in the game 🙂 There is a way to absolutely cheese the fight and I'm sure you will find it out some day when your emotions will calm down ^^ Just take a short rest from the game and go back to it after some time, and you will be surprised how easy it will be the next time...

I'm using this strategy every time in every game, and it always works.

and I will say, the lead up was sick, terrifying, but sick. in general, I have to say deepnest is YUCKY

Same. But it's incredibly easy when you learn his moves and have a decent pc with good fps. The arena has 2 cheesy spots that you can free hit him and heal up whenever he does the running phase.

Oh, I knew that cheese, been doing it. Its when he does his kooky quirky ♥♥♥♥ you I'ma go in the ceiling and rain acid on you that ends me. and not even that, I can usually do one, but when he does it like 3 or 4 times in a row.... hella annoying and my HP just slowly goes down, as I'm not a master of dodging the infection. so I A: get no hits on him, B: can't heal, and C: can't hit him. and him doing this damn move over and over and over again without doing any moves inbetween just makes this bossfight boring and a chore

You can also jump and downward slash him which is the other way to hit him. Don't forget spells.

I'm gonna be up-front here, if you have the... shade cloak is it? (whatever you use to shadow dash), this fight is laughably easy.

To easily beat Nosk, all you really need to do is hug the left side of the platform in the middle of the room. When Nosk is standing still above you, use Abyss Shriek (or howling wraiths) if you have soul, and otherwise up-slash him if you don't have soul or if he quickly runs over you. When he winds up to your left and runs at you, shadow dash through him. This will do damage if you have the sharp shadow charm equipped. When he is on the ceiling is the only part without a completely foolproof solution, just try and avoid the infection goo and repeat the original process when he comes back down.

I will note that this extremely helpful platform is NOT present when doing the fight on ascended in godhome, but the platform will always be present outside of godhome and during the Pantheon Of The Artist.

Oh yeah come to think of it the right side of the platform should work too, I just always use the left side because you start on the left side of the arena.

Deepnest, The Abyss, Infected Crossroads, and The Royal Waterways are definitely the creepiest areas in the game. Meanwhile Greenpath, The Crystal Peak, The City Of Tears, The Queen's Gardens, and The Fog Canyon are the most beautiful areas. The other areas are sort of mixed between creepy and beautiful.

Well on that note buddy, personally I finished everything in the game outside of godhome and beating the radiance, so I have all the charms and items and I stick to the easiest solutions.

Battles against Nosk and The Brooding Mawlurk become laughably easy once you have the shade cloak, which you can aquire at the far bottom right end of the abyss. It's best to use sharp shadow during these battles as well.

Howling Wraiths is a spell that attacks upwards, it can be found in the furthest left point of the fog canyon, in the overgrown mound.

Abyss Shriek is the upgraded version of Howling Wraiths, which you can aquire by standing in the center of a small strange room in the bottom left corner of the abyss and using Howling Wraiths. Abyss Shriek is the most powerful spell in the game, at 80 damage. It does 120 damage with the shaman stone equipped.

If you guys need help with anything else let me know, I'm happy to help and I'v done everything in the game aside from beating the Pantheon Of The Sage (close to beating this one), Pantheon Of The Knight, Pantheon Of Hallownest, and The Radiance (Radiance is the easiest of these but I'm waiting to get to 112% completion by beating the 3rd and 4th pantheons before I finish them off.

(Actually I haven't done a few other things yet that I would need to start new runs for, but I still know a lot about them, I even beat Nightmare King Grimm recently although i did it in godhome so i didn't get the Ritual Achievement for it.)

I think you're spoiling him a bit too much. Part of this game is that you find things on your own.

Alright, well anyway the Nosk fight is a lot easier once you get the shade cloak so you can come back to the fight later if you are having trouble with it now.
