[SPOILERS] Bug in Pure Vessel?

When you use Sharp Shadow and dash through his attacks, if it hits the blow that causes the stagger, it cancels the dash causing you to always get hit. Is this a bug, could it be fixed, or is this just the game's mechanics acting up?

EDIT: Upon testing, it seems it only happens about 70% of the time, meaning it's up to chance whether a hit is taken.

The PV attacks are straight up faster than Shade Cloak. I don't know why you are using Sharp Shadow for PV anyway, its a bad strategy.

Sharp Dash is not that bad for Pure Vessel. I usually Shadow Dash through the Melee attacks when I am cornered. Without the Sharp Shadow, you won't reach as much as you need to completely dodge his attack.

Optimally, you shouldn't have to try to dash through him. That said, I did notice that the PV often does hit you mid-shade cloak dash, and I do think it's a bug.

UPDATE: I've killed the piece of s h i t that is Pure Vessel in Hall of Gods, now I just need to kill him in the pantheon. I used sharp shadow and it works with proper timing, though it is hard to pull off at first

Try practicing double jumping over him instead when he does his dash attack or three swipes. Still use the Shade Cloak dash for extra security, but at least when you jump over him, you mostly eliminate the chance of dodging a little too early to fully get past his hurtbox.

JUMP. Its best to jump and pogo over his attacks, since the timing for dashing through his attacks rarely works out well.

I watched a stream where someone was really struggling against PV, and were trying to use Sharp Shadow like you. Then someone in chat suggested jumping and pogoing instead, and immediately the fight became easier, and faster. If they had continued to rely on Sharp Shadow, they would never have gotten the bindings for the 4th Pantheon.

I had a similar experience with PV. I was trying to dash through it, and I stuggled because of it. The moment I starting using pogo instead, learning the fight became easy.

By refusing to adapt to a new strategy, you're only making it harder for yourself.

The attack in which he waves his sword at you and his attack in which he throws daggers is way easier when dodged with sharp shadow.

3 attempts at pantheon, all died on PV cuz I was being reckless :/
