can u do path of pain once u finish it?

i was thinking of doing it again but a friend told me its not possible to access it if u already beat it once, can anyone confirm dis?
and if i cant access it, is it possible/ok to take a save file from someone and put it in my game files?

Once the Path of Pain has been completed it becomes inaccessible.

You cannot redo it once completed, except from anew savefile.

If you enjoy the Path of Pain enough to want to do it again, I'd recommend picking up Celeste if you haven't, I completed Celeste shortly before giving Hollow Knight a second play through and by the end of doing the Path of Pain again I was like "Wait, that was it?". Celeste will really hone in your platforming skills.
