Can someone explain the Pantheon mechanics?
Topic. I don't understand what this list of things they ask you to cross out. What's the benefit or penalty of it? What's the point? I assume that you're supposed to fight everything in one go without dying? T_T

I guess I have no hope of getting this ending then.

Pantheons 1-4 have you fight 9 bosses you fought before and 1 new boss at the end. 5th pantheon has you fight 42 bosses in a row. Yes, you can't die or else you go back to the beginning of the pantheon, but after every 5 bosses there is a bench and a hot spring to heal and change your charms.

What about those list of bindings?

Bindings make pantheons harder. There is a reward for doing them but I'll say it later, first I'll say what each binding does.
Nail = Lowers your nail damage by 20%. If your nail deals 13 damage or more, it'll instead set your nail damage to 13 (Channeled Nail)
Shell = Lowers your HP to 4 masks. Health increasing charms still work and are recommended.
Soul = You can only carry a maximum of 33 soul and extra soul vessels are disabled.
Charms = All charms are disabled.
If you do all 4 at once, bindings will glow golden, but it's purely cosmetic. For the other rewards, you can do one binding at a time.
Once you get 8 bindings, the door to the left of Hall of Gods will open. Use the dream nail there. After that, lifeblood cocoons will spawn in "bench rooms" of pantheons. The amount of lifeblood they drop depends on how many bindings you did: for 8 bindings 3 lifeblood, for 12 bindings 4 lifeblood, and for 16 bindings 5 lifeblood.
For 20 bindings, you get access to a new location with a new journal entry. Totally not worth it in my opinion.

One more thing, the Hall of Gods on the lower level of the Godhome (next to the lifeblood door that opens if you finish enough bindings) allows you to practice individual bosses and once you reach the final boss of a pantheon, that boss unlocks in the Hall even if you die to it while doing a pantheon, so in general youll go through a panteon the first time and if you die to its final boss, you go to the Hall and practice until you can beat it without losing too much life.

And yes, it's bleeming hard.

I'm not going to even try that. 42 bosses without dying is ridiculous. Iceborne is around the corner. I would rather spend time on that rather than torture myself here and call it fun.

Fair enough. The devs know it's ridiculous so you don't need to complete it for 112%.

Without binds, it's not that ridiculous; with 9 masks and a fully powered nail and free charm choice, you have a decent amount of leeway. That said, it does require a good amount of time to practice and it's completely optional. If you have other games you'd rather play, play those instead.
