Is anyone experiencing audio issus?
I've been experiencing audio distortion with this game, and I was wondering how to solve it. If anyone is having this issue with the game, please let me know and express what you've been hearing with the game's audio.

Could you try something for me? I assume you are on Windows.

Go to Control Panel -> Sound -> find current active (default) device, click Properties.

In the Supported format make sure it just 44-96kHZ and in Encoder format disable all.
Go to Advanced and select something lower than current value, like, 2 channel 24bit 48k or 2ch, 16b, 48k.

This is not a solution (but would be great), just a test, you don't have to do it. Don't forget to restore original options when done.

I tried going into Advanced to lower the sound quality, and it didn't do anything... Is there something that I didn't do correctly?

Try lowering the in-game volume settings?

I tried to lower the volume a bit, but it doesn't change anything.

So it's not just my imagination. Recently I've been getting this really high pitched whineing noise, much like the sound old CRT TVs made. But the odd thing is, changing the speaker volume doesn't seem to affect it. Nor does turning the monitor off.

And it definitely only does it while playing this game.

Did you try and do anything else to solve this problem?

You're sure it's not the sound of an item laying on the ground nearby waiting for you to pick it up?

Wait the high pitch is from the mask shards nearby. I think

Those also cause a sound that sounds similar to the pinging from a CRT display.

Have some audio problems too. In Dirtmouth above, the audio is intermittent and gets cut off from time to time.

I was having audio issues on my laptop with the framerate stuttering, but when I got a gaming desktop, I was having no issues with the game, and it was running just fine.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have higher specs than this game's recommended and I experience no stuttering with movements. Only the audio is problematic... So there must be a different explanation. I experience no issues with other games.

Edit: When I booted up my computer and ran the game again, the audio issues were gone. Will post here if ever the problem returns.
